Welcome to ENAS!
Dear colleague,
I am delighted to introduce myself as the new President of ENAS (European Network of Academic Sports Services) as of November 2024. ENAS is a vibrant and professional network that connects university and college sport services across Europe. Our mission is simple: to strengthen university sports through collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and innovation.
We believe that together, we can achieve more. That’s why we want to ensure that every university and college in Europe delivering sport and physical activity knows about ENAS and has the opportunity to join our growing community. If you are already familiar with ENAS, we hope this letter offers valuable insights into what we do and how you can engage with us.
Who We Are
ENAS is a membership organisation that brings together over 105 institutions from more than 20 European countries. We provide a platform for university sport professionals to collaborate, exchange best practices, and contribute to the development of sport and physical activity in the academic sector.
Through our active engagement with the European Commission, we have earned recognition as a key representative body for university sport. We also work closely with international partners, including FISU and EUSA, to enhance our reach and impact, particularly in Eastern Europe.
What do we offer?
As an ENAS member, you gain access to a wide range of benefits, including:
Annual ENAS Forum: A flagship event bringing together sport professionals from across Europe to discuss key trends and innovations in university sport. The 2025 Forum will be held in Vilnius, Lithuania (10–14 November) under the theme Lifelong Wellbeing – How University Sports Can Shape a Healthy Future.
ENAS Experience: A unique opportunity for hands-on learning and networking. In 2025, we will host an Experience focused on Sports Facilities & Management in Eindhoven, Netherlands (25–27 June).
Webinars & Knowledge-Sharing: Regular online sessions covering key topics such as physical activity on campus, wellbeing, and active lifestyles.
ENAS Award: Celebrating innovation in university sport and encouraging best practice sharing.
Erasmus+ Projects & Staff Exchanges: We actively lead and participate in Erasmus+ projects, providing opportunities for institutions to engage in European-funded initiatives that enhance university sport services.
Networking & Collaboration: Join working groups, become an ENAS expert, or serve as a national representative to help shape the future of university sport in Europe.
